Dominio Development Centre [DDC] an organ of Dominio Reino Foundation has introduced a new initiative which is very dear to us called INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY [ISR], this project is tagged [giving back …]. A vessel we use in promoting the need for individuals to give back to their local communities.

We believe strongly that the current solution to the Niger-Delta region does not rest solely on the government, oil companies & the militants but also on the indigenes of these areas as well. We encourage the indigenes that have a bit of means to give back to their communities.

Community Development through indigenes can change lives and even affect generations yet unborn. For example, a scholarship scheme to as few as five (5) people can change destinies tied to these recipients. Likewise a widow that has lost all hope can be give a reason to live again with just a lifeline as low as $150.

It is of great importance that people in the rural areas are empowered for the well being of most families. We believe in their right to an environment that offers a sense of well-being, hope, encouragement & happiness.

    Comprehensive impact studies have demonstrated that empowering people financially in the rural areas can have the following impact:
  • Helps very poor households meet basic needs and protect against risks;
  • Improvements in household economic welfare and enterprise stability or growth;
  • By supporting women's economic participation, it helps to empower women, thus promoting gender-equity and improving household well-being;
